uFraction8 Founder wins Women in Innovation Award

We are proud to share that Monika Tomecka, founder of uFraction8, a GROW Land x Launch™  (in partnership with Innovate UK) alumnus, has been honoured with a Women in Innovation Award.

The award recognises women entrepreneurs who are developing novel solutions to major social, environmental and economic challenges today. Each winner receives a £50,000 grant, one-to-one business coaching, and a suite of networking, role modelling and training opportunities.

Powering the biotechnology revolution

uFraction8 provides cutting-edge microfluidics-based filtration systems necessary to help the bio-manufacturing revolution deliver its full potential. Not only that, they also want to bring down the cost of sustainable food systems and biology-based medical treatments.

This award follows a recent successful £2.5m raise through investment and grants to expand its existing facilities in Scotland and Poland and to deploy large scale tests with prospective customers. With this raise, uFraction8 aims to further develop their technology to produce the best performing micro-filtration systems as we know it.
